BILL BROOKES PASSES AWAY
posted by Caddy on Monday, 29 September, 2008

It is with regret that I inform you that Bill Brookes died of a heart attack last Thursday.

For those who didn’t know him, Bill played for the club for many years in the 60’s, 70’s and early 80’s. He also served as Treasurer for a number of years through the 80’s and early 90’s and came along to score for several years after he resigned from being Treasurer.

He will be famously remembered for claiming, whenever he was out, to have received the ‘best ball of the game’.

Funeral arrangements are still to be made and the club will send a representative.
